Ji will be @ the Summer of NewCAJE
Jewish Interactive will be presenting a series of workshops at the Summer of NewCAJE, 2020
Each session will be centered around a separate topic and Ji skill, making participating in all four sessions worthwhile, however, participants who choose to come to only one session will not feel lacking.
Ji Session 1: Fall Scenario Planning: Ji Connecting Your Learning
In this session we will look at Ji Tools and how to blend them into distance and in-class learning, working to create consistency and empower students. We will look at possible fall 2020 planning and consider modes of Ji blended instruction that will empower teachers to approach teaching this fall with pedagogical and curricular tools.
Ji Skill: Implementing Ji Tap Games into Existing Curriculum
July 8th 4 pm EDT
Ji Session 2: Exploring Curricular Resources on Ji Tap
When in school, children are guided on a learning journey. How do we do this remotely or even provide the opportunity of a learning journey as homework or home learning? In this Ji session we will be looking at using Ji Tap in conjunction with other educational communication platforms to curate a guided learning journey of our own. We will examine the Ji Bytes initiative as an example of curated learning journeys and break down the pedagogic pillars that create a successful and holistic student experience.
Ji Skill: Navigating Ji to find what you need
July 9th 4 pm EDT
Ji Session 3: The Golden Opportunity of Distance learning
Have you noticed that some students are thriving with distance learning? What is enabling them to succeed? What was giving them trouble in school before we moved to a remote teaching model? In this Ji session we will discuss how to understand these students’ needs and discuss ways to give all students in multiple learning situations the tools to succeed.
Ji Skill: Using Ji Tap and other Platforms
July 14th 7 pm EDT
Ji Session 4: Creating Active and Participatory Online Experiences
Using Ji Tools as a platform for hands-on and active learning creates a holistic, interdisciplinary experience for students. We will be exploring how to blend offline experiences into Ji Studio and/or Ji Tap game design. When participating in this session, please be prepared with an additional iPad with Ji Tap downloaded or practice splitting your computer screen so that you can participate in a hands-on exploration of the Ji Tap Creation Suite or Ji Studio (downloadable here). This session will be a 2 hour workshop working on creating Jewish interactive experiences for your students.
Ji Skill: Using the Ji Tap Creation Suite
After registering for this workshop you will receive a 2-week Ji Tap Pro login so you can continue to explore Ji Tap and work on your projects.
