Pesach is a time to tell our children the story of leaving Egypt . The question is how to make it real and alive for our children and get them excited about hearing the story at the Seder. Pesach starts on the 15th Nissan. This year the Pesach Seder is on the 22nd April 2016 (Friday night) and lasts for 7 days in Israel, 8 days outside of Israel.

In preparation for Pesach, the home is cleaned and scrubbed, and all chametz (unleavened bread) is removed.
On the evening before the Pesach Seder, There is a search of the house .There is a tradition of distributing ten pieces of bread throughout the house, so that the searchers will have something to find. Make sure someone remembers where they put each piece.
The family gets together, with a candle for lighting the way, a feather for brushing-up the chametz, and a wooden spoon onto which the chametz is brushed. They go by candle light to find and collect the Chametz.
