With generous support from our longstanding partners at the Pincus Fund for Education, this year Ji is running a programme that will provide incredible educational and development opportunities for a select cohort of European educators that will make a huge impact in their local communities and beyond.
The Master Mentor training program begins this September and includes a series of seminars, workshops, coaching sessions and ongoing support to enable educators to gain and/or develop crucial teaching and mentoring skills to implement in their educational and communal roles. Ji is working closely with BetterLesson – an organisation that specialises in educational professional development to deliver the programme.
After an extensive and rigorous recruitment process, 15 educators have been chosen to participate, representing countries across Europe including UK, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands & Russia. The programme begins with a 2 day in-person conference at the London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS) and continues online throughout the academic year ahead. Sammy Morhaim, Ji’s Global Community Director, is leading the project in conjunction with Smadar Goldstein from BetterLesson.
Alongside the Mentor programme, the Pincus Fund is also supporting the development of a Community section on our new platform for Jewish education – Jigzi. Earlier this year Ji launched Jigzi, a new hub for Joyful Jewish Learning and we are rolling out many exciting new features over the coming months. The Community section, which will be launched in 2023, will provide educators with an opportunity to share resources & ideas, and to promote their skills with educators from all over the world through an accredited system of profiles and content.
