Jewish EdTech specialists, Jewish Interactive held its bi-annual fundraiser at the Millbank Tower on Monday night, 20 March 2017. Over 180 guests including dinner sponsors Sean and Lindy Melnick heard about the exponential growth of its cross-platform Jewish educational tools.
Chief Rabbi Mirvis told how he believed that the work of Jewish Interactive was essential for our future generations, as we engage children in the 21st century both in the classroom and beyond. Israeli Ambassador Mark Regev pointed out how Ji was featured with 10 Israeli Innovative start ups at BETT, and is leading the way in transposing ancient teachings from parchment to pixel. The crowd were entertained by 15 year old Forbes under 30 honouree, Itay Pincas in conversation with Google’s Global business leader James Rosenthal as he discussed the 5 start ups he has already founded and how parents should to come to terms with GenerationZ, realising the good that can be harnessed though technology. It was left to Chair of trustees, David Bloom, to highlight that the growth the charity is experiencing is reflective of the needs of the next generation, and how, through partnership Ji is on its way to becoming the single largest Jewish educational institution, in a new virtual world of education across boundaries and borders.
