Teachers in our staff who have started using Ji Tap in the classroom love the creation and sharing capabilities with other educators teaching similar topics and age groups. Having the ability to search for and download games and activities in addition to creating your own and sharing it in the platform is a great crowd-sourcing opportunity. Using the rich creation packs as well as interactive layers helps enhance the learning experience for students by bringing the material to life.

Students can express their creativity in the Judaic Studies class through interactive game and activity creation. Sharing their work on the Ji Platform and making it available for other students to access provides an opportunity to develop global collaboration skills.

We just had a mind-blowing session with Sammy who flew in to Stockholm, Sweden to show us what possibilities we have to teach Jewish studies in Swedish using Ji Tap. I’m very excited and now I want to try it with my pupils and find out how much they can teach me. Thanks. Samuel Adler

Ji Tap

Ji Tap - what parents say

Jennifer Sholder
Parent, New York, USA

It is my wish to congratulate the whole team Ji Tap. For my children, Ruth Yossie 9 years and 8, has been a blessing study with Ji Tap. Thanks to you have managed to return to learn with enthusiasm and with the entire arrangement. My two children were unable to attend school the last four years, because unfortunately witnessed a kidnapping in which I was a victim. They saw all the violent act of the kidnappers and were assaulted and injured, lived my absence after 10 days I was kidnapped and back, I was hospitalized for three months in serious danger of death. For these painful experiences both they are suffering from post-traumatic stress and have been in psychological and psychiatric therapy. Since then, their ability to study, attention and concentration was zero. With each passing year, I tried in various ways to awaken in them the desire to learn, even visited several schools, accomplishing nothing. Fortunately, at the beginning of this year, without looking on the Internet, by chance, I found Ji Tap. At that time I showed it to my children, his reaction was immediate. From esses day, every morning wake up early, eat breakfast and are very eager to start their classes. They learned very fast, the alef bet and colors in only 4 days and are beginning to read and write their first words in Hebrew. I want to emphasize that my son Yossie, has failed to learn to read and write in Spanish, even attempts have been made over the years. But his interest and love for the Hebrew has been amazing and just four days and begins to read and write have learned all the alef bet including stroke consonants. Ruth My daughter surprised me with their ability to learn with Ji Tap, remembers everything !!! And learn in one lesson and pronunciation is excellent.

They are happy, it is the first time I see them so happy and willing to learn. For all this, infinite whole team of Ji Tap thank you. And I want to tell you, my children because you are learning Hebrew and English simultaneously. For my day children, you are not only teaching two children, are also saving their souls. The best therapy for my children, has been clinging to a fully Jewish life, prayer, respect for traditions, clinging to his people and the blessing and justice. And now I reaffirm what they have achieved educational rehabilitation program Thanks to Ji Tap.

Ji Studio

Ji Studio changed the world of educational technology for Judaic studies teachers. My students love creating posters and books using the app. As a teacher I love the way the students are always engaged, absorbed and involved in the assignments and activities given using Ji Studio. They really have a strong personal feeling toward their work and tremendous pride in what they create!

Yesterday, I tried the Ji Studio Tu B’Shevat collection with our iPads. It was amazing! The kids were super-engaged. Thank you for all of your efforts and all the work that you put into to make an amazing program that I could use in my classroom. I hope to be able to use more of your apps in the future.

It gives me great pleasure to give you feedback on The Ji Studio product which I have been using in my class. I was privileged to be trained by Corinne Ossendryver on how to use the interactive material in class. The support and creative ways that she gave me have been tremendous. I use Ji Studio a pre assessment when introducing a new Chag or theme, the graphics are superb and contribute to my class. Once I have covered my theme , the children love to create their own storybooks using the Ji Studio.

Ji Studio is child friendly and easy to navigate, and the support from the team is on hands.

This is a great app which encourages pupils to use higher-order thinking in order to create projects showcasing their Kodesh knowledge and understanding on various topics. Allowing for the first time, teachers in Jewish Studies classrooms to make use of revolutionary educational resources in their classrooms without sacrificing key skills such as; pupils writing in Hebrew. The vast collections of Jewish themed photos, back grounds and colouring pages ensures this app meets the unique needs of the Kodesh Classroom. This is a great way for Jewish Studies teachers to bring ICT into their classrooms in an engaging and exciting way. I strongly recommend this app!

Shabbat Interactive

Shabbat Interactive

We use Shabbat Interactive with our third-grade students each year when we begin our Shabbat Unit. This program is a wonderful addition to our curriculum because it is engaging and interactive. After we complete each module as a group, we brainstorm ideas, and students write thoughtful reflections about what they learned. At home, students can view the modules again with parents and siblings.

Kitot Bet & Gimmel learned about the history, customs and traditions of Shabbat from Shabbat Interactive. The students played games, listened to prayers, read the Ten Commandments, reviewed the creation story and created their own games. What a great way to learn about Shabbat!

This is Goldie Grant from Bury and Whitefield Jewish primary school. I just wanted to let you know that I used Shabbos Interactive with my year 3 class and they absolutely loved it. As well as producing their own summaries of the six days of creation they also learnt new bits of information.
Many thanks again for a wonderful and interactive resource which enhances and enlivens Jewish studies.

I love your videos. I teach Kindergarten and each week, as we introduce our new ot hashavuah, we start by playing your video on the SmartBoard in our classroom. The students love them and sing along at the end. Finally, there’s something I can play after the English letter of the week videos!!! Thank you!

Ji Tap’s Alef Bet series is inimitable, creative and innovative. Embedding the series into my lessons has added a whole new dimension to teaching the Alef Bet letters. The series brings a host of fresh vibrant Alef Bet characters who all come alive to tell stories which captivate the imagination, spark motivation and inspire children to love learning each letter. Jewish Interactive understands that children learn when they love what they are learning. The Alef Bet series has certainly hit the mark in this respect. Every child I have taught has loved this series. I would strongly recommend it as an excellent companion to teaching the Alef Bet letters.

Ji Tap was particularly successful in class when I used the Alef Bet programme Stage 1 with Reception. It has certainly helped to improve Hebrew reading at an earlier age since the children were very excited to see how Alef needed medicine from the doctor to help him to speak! Our Reception pupils learned their vowels much quicker this year and began blending with much more ease, whilst enjoying completing the activities on a weekly basis at home. It is my intention to now use Stage 2 with Year 1.

I must say, this app is really beautiful in a variety of ways,
  • Easy to use and follow
  • Nice flow
  • Teaches our kids to really sit down and think about what they can be thankful for
  • Might need parental guidance at first, but as long as the child can write basic sentences, can be done on own
  • Love the fact that it can be read in sefardi havara (I’m Moroccan)
  • Could use a little guidance in beginning, maybe an intro pop ups to every feature, didnt realize the boxes in the corner were more games
  • Just an all around great tool to helping our kids realize the good in their lives and even more importantly help them formulate the ideas in their own words

And please tell them they have done a great job

Sukkah Challenge

Sukkah Challenge

I used the JI Sukkot Challenge to teach about Sukkot to my 3rd and 4th grade Special Ed Boys in Manhattan Day School. The boys loved ‘playing’ on the app (on my smartboard) – and learnt so much from it. Including the sources for ‘living’ in a sukka, the source for the arbah minim, the ushpizin, the dates of Sukkot and even the idea of a ‘tefach’ being a ‘hand breath’. They particularly enjoyed shopping for and assembling the sukka – and seeing the 3D view of it.

Manhattan Day School

I used the Sukkah app this morning to introduce my grade 2 class to the 4 Species.
The students have a varied background in the subject, from nothing to basic.
I explained to them that they were the first kids to see the app and they were very excited. I did not have the app loaded for each child so I used it as a teaching tool and presentation with the classes direction.
The kids really got involved and enjoyed the programming. The characters and voices were very well received and they loved the fact that they earned coins.
I used some of my teaching material from yesterday’s version of the Educators guide and was glad that I had it, especially the photographs of the 4 species and the explanation of the pitom. I also needed to use the guide to explain how and why the etrog is taken upside down, so my experience was that the educator’s guide is providing necessary background.
The videos proved to be very important in providing an understanding of the species.
The brachah was also very useful.
We managed to get up to the point of the 6 directions. I hope to continue using this very useful tool in my classes and provide more feedback on its value and reception.
Well done.
